Ukraine's Zelenskyy will sign security agreements with Germany, France as Kyiv shores up support

IndiaTimes Friday, 16 February 2024
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is set to sign bilateral security agreements with Germany and France, bolstering Western support as the country faces a full-scale war with Russia. Chancellor Olaf Scholz warmly received Zelenskyy at the German chancellery in Berlin, and the Ukrainian leader will continue his visit to meet French President Macron in Paris. These agreements follow a similar security pact signed between Ukraine and the UK during British PM Rishi Sunak's recent visit to Kyiv. The accord ensures mutual support for the next decade.
