Imran Khan's PTI denied permission to hold protests in Islamabad

NEW DELHI: The Islamabad Deputy Commissioner refused to grant permission to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a protest demonstration on Saturday against alleged "rigging" in the 2024 general elections, as reported by ARY News.The administration has rejected the PTI's application, citing Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) which is in force in the capital city, which prohibits demonstrations.
