The European Union (EU) has initiated a formal investigation into TikTok for potential violations of rules designed to safeguard minors online. This probe is being conducted under a law that mandates the regulation of digital content. In November last year, the EU had also launched investigations against YouTube and TikTok to assess the measures being taken by these platforms.
