US judge rejects Republican challenge to Biden migrant sponsorship program

A federal judge in Texas rejected a Republican-led states' challenge to a Biden program allowing migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela to enter the US. The program has led to a significant decrease in illegal entry. The judge ordered a halt to the redirection of Trump-era border wall construction funds pending an appeal by Texas and Missouri.
