At least 60 Afghans killed by weeks of intense snow, rain

In the past three weeks, heavy rain and snow in Afghanistan have claimed the lives of at least 60 people, according to the country's disaster ministry. Despite a dry winter, this time of year usually brings dangerous weather, such as floods, which cause havoc in communities. "Due to the snow and rains, unfortunately, we have lost sixty compatriots and 23 people have been injured," said Janan Sayeq.
