Philippines says China attacks supply vessel with water cannon

The Philippines reported that the China Coast Guard obstructed a Filipino supply vessel and caused damage with water cannon on Saturday near a reef in the South China Sea. The incident took place off Second Thomas Shoal, where previous stand-offs between Chinese and Filipino vessels have occurred. Video footage released by the Philippine military showed a white ship using a water cannon on another vessel for nearly an hour.
