A girl in Brazil recused from rubble after 16 hours as storm kills at least 12

A young girl, trapped under the debris for more than 16 hours following a house collapse in southeastern Brazil due to a severe storm, was successfully rescued. Tragically, the girl's father, found lifeless beside her, had shielded her with his body. The storm's toll has been devastating, leading authorities to dispatch rescue teams to the mountainous regions of Rio de Janeiro state.
