Far-right candidate whose aide was arrested for spying for China to run for European elections
Wednesday, 24 April 2024 () A far-right German politician will continue to run in the upcoming European parliamentary elections despite allegations that his advisor was spying for China.
Just hours after Macron's Europe speech, the head of the French far-right party Jordan Bardella called for a last-minute press conference on Thursday in Paris, unveiling his campaign for the European elections… but refused to answer questions.
Four suspects have been identified in the attack on German Social Democrat (SPD) MEP Matthias Ecke, police said on Monday, with more protests expected in Berlin.
