Xi Jinping urges Macron to help China to avoid a ‘new cold war’

During a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of maintaining mutually beneficial relations between China and France. According to the official Xinhua News Agency, Xi urged both countries to "jointly oppose decoupling and the disruption of supply chains." Xi's state visit to Paris marks the beginning of his first trip to the European Union in five years, which will also include stops in Serbia and Hungary.
