Donald Trump's documents trial start delayed indefinitely, judge orders

US district Judge Aileen Cannon on Tuesday made the decision to indefinitely postpone former US president Donald Trump's trial in Florida, where he faces charges of illegally retaining classified documents after his presidency ended. Trump's trial in the documents case, brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith, was set to begin on May 20. However, both the prosecution and defense acknowledged that this date would need to be postponed.
