First 'extreme' solar storm in 20 yrs brings auroras, disrupts Starlink sats

Earth was hit by stronger solar storms, causing amazing celestial light displays and posing risks to satellites and power grids. Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) from the Sun led to an extreme geomagnetic storm, affecting satellite services like Starlink. The events, which were the most powerful in twenty years, created auroras in northern Europe and Australasia.
