Israel and Hamas rejected bid before ICC to arrest leaders for war crimes by prosecutor Karim Khan in Gaza Strip, with opposition from the United States, South Africa welcomed the move at the ICC, while France said it supported the court's independence "and the fight against impunity in all situations".
