Five people died and 50 injured in a stage collapse at an election rally in northern Mexico. Presidential candidate Jorge Alvarez Maynez of the Citizens Movement party escaped. Presidential candidate Jorge Alvarez Maynez who was campaigning for his party Citizens Movement party in Nuevo Leon managed to escape. Over two dozen candidates for municipal seats have been killed during the campaign.
