Model sues Cannes Film Festival over alleged assault on red carpet
Friday, 31 May 2024 A Ukrainian model who attended the Cannes Film Festival says she is suing the organisers after alleging she was assaulted on the red carpet.
A Russian drone attack on Sumy, northeastern Ukraine, killed two people and injured 12 others on Friday morning, officials report. Residential buildings, cars, and a shop were damaged in the strikes. Rescuers saved two from rubble as prosecutors launched a war crimes investigation.

Dmitry Medvedev shared a video of Russia’s Oreshnik hypersonic missile striking a Ukrainian defense facility in Dnepropetrovsk, clarifying that it wasn’t an ICBM, but a medium-range missile developed after the US withdrew from the INF Treaty.
