Israel ‘targets’ US lawmakers with covert influence drive

The goal was to promote pro-Israel messaging and garner support for its actions in the Gaza Strip conflict. The covert initiative was overseen by Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, a government body dedicated to connecting Jews worldwide with the state of Israel, according to four Israeli officials.
