UN says Israeli forces, Palestinian armed groups may have committed war crimes in deadly raid

The UN human rights office, through spokesman Jeremy Laurence, raised concerns about possible war crimes by Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups in a raid to free hostages. At least 274 Palestinians, including women and children, died in the operation, with violations of proportionality, distinction, and precaution noted.
