Muted mics, no props: List of new rules for 1st Biden, Trump debate
Monday, 24 June 2024 () There will be no live studio audience to react to the debate -- in a stark departure from the tradition. This is to ensure that the candidates may maximize the time allotted in the debate. Candidates will have two minutes to answer questions. No props or pre-written notes will be allowed on the stage. Candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper and a bottle of water. Trump's campaign chose the order of closing statements that he will speak last. Biden will give his concluding statement first.
