Huge California wildfire chews through timber in very hot and dry weather

California's largest wildfire of the year, the Park Fire, grew rapidly due to hot and dry weather, burning over 660 square miles since July 24. Containment remained at 34%, and authorities focused on curtailing spot fires. A man was arrested for allegedly starting the fire, which destroyed hundreds of structures.
