Australian government to enact new regulations after Air Traffic Controller found asleep
Wednesday, 4 September 2024 The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has enacted new regulations after an air traffic controller was discovered asleep during a shift at Brisbane's Air Traffic Services Centre on December 9, 2022. An investigation revealed significant issues in fatigue management practices. In response, Airservices Australia has increased staffing and updated its fatigue assessment tool to prevent future incidents.
