New York mayor pleads not guilty to fraud and bribery charges

New York mayor Eric Adams has pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and bribery in a Manhattan federal court. Prosecutors allege he accepted illegal gifts from Turkish associates for political favors. If convicted, Adams could face up to 45 years in prison. The next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
