Pakistan: Punjab government imposes section 144 ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's rally

The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi district for two days, restricting public gatherings ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's rally at Liaquat Bagh. The ban covers all types of assemblies and weapon displays on September 28 and 29. PTI had initially sought permission for the rally but later withdrew its plea.
