Six people in Rwanda, primarily medical professionals, have died from the Marburg virus since the outbreak was declared. This highly fatal disease, related to Ebola, has seen twenty cases so far. It spreads through contact with bodily fluids of infected individuals and causes severe hemorrhagic fever with a high mortality rate.
