Syria war monitor says rebels control most of Aleppo

Jihadist-led rebels, supported by Turkish-backed allies, have seized control of Aleppo's airport and numerous towns after launching a surprise offensive. The Syrian regime appears to have lost support from key allies Russia and Iran. The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with over 300 people dead, including civilians.
