Assad's PM says he has agreed to hand over power to rebels

Rebel leader Ahmed al-Sharaa (formerly known as Abu Mohammed al-Golani) met with Syrian Prime Minister Mohammed Jalali and Vice-President Faisal Mekdad to discuss a transitional government. Jalali agreed to transfer power to the rebel "Salvation Govt," led by Mohammed al-Bashir, who is expected to become the new prime minister. The meeting focused on ensuring continued services for the Syrian people.
