Charity to stop using migrant rescue boat in Mediterranean Sea
Friday, 13 December 2024 () An international charity which has rescued thousands of migrants in the Mediterranean Sea says it will stop using its rescue boat because new Italian laws "have made it impossible to continue".
Fishermen in Spain are protesting proposed EU cuts that would reduce fishing days in the Mediterranean, arguing that the plan could destroy the industry, harm the economy, and cost 17,000 jobs.
