'Lights, car engines left on': Monster wildfire sparks panicked evacuations in Los Angeles

Multiple wildfires broke out in Los Angeles, driven by strong Santa Ana winds, causing widespread evacuations and destruction. Fires in Eaton and Pacific Palisades led to the evacuation of residents and destruction of homes and property. Over 1,400 firefighting staff were deployed as Governor Newsom declared a state of emergency, warning of worsening weather conditions.
