IndiaTimes Thursday, 30 January 2025
On Thursday, two buses carrying Palestinian prisoners released by Israel arrived in Ramallah, West Bank, where they were warmly welcomed by hundreds of Palestinians. This release was part of the agreement between Israel and Hamas for a truce in Gaza. Among the released prisoners was former militant leader Zakaria Zubeidi, who received a hero's welcome. The crowd, chanting slogans and waving flags, cheered as the buses made their way to the sports complex, where the prisoners underwent a brief medical checkup.
