Canada backs down from 25% electricity surcharge after Trump's retaliation

Ontario will suspend a 25 percent electricity surcharge on three American states, Premier Doug Ford said Tuesday, after "productive" talks with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. This came after Donald Trump threatened with retaliatory tariffs of 50 per cent on steel and aluminum which was supposed to be effective from tomorrow.
