VARIOUS OF ELEPHANT WITH FRUIT STORY: Edgar, an endangered Asian elephant, turned four on New Year's Day (January 1) with fruit and treats from his keepers at Germany's Tierpark Berlin Zoo.
Days leading up to his birthday, the zoo laid out a variety of treats for Edgar and the other elephants.
The Asian elephant is on the Red List of Threatened Animals by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
