Overtaking truck topples over and crashes into oncoming pickup truck in Thailand

This is the dramatic moment an overtaking lorry loses control and crashes into an oncoming pickup truck.

Motorist Siwaphon Lekprasert was travelling with his girlfriend in the passenger seat when the ten-wheeler sped past him in Pathum Thani, central Thailand, last Friday (Jan 17) afternoon.

Footage shows the lorry suddenly crossing lanes and flipping onto its side, smashing into a pickup truck and landing on the grass verge at the side of the highway.

Debris from the collision skidded along the road while a cloud of dust rose up from the crash.

Siwaphon, who is heard shouting in the video, said: "After the accident had happened, my girlfriend and I immediately called the rescue.

"I hope the video will raise more awareness of driving vehicles on the public road.

Drive carefully and it could save lives.'' The drivers of the lorry and the pickup truck it crashed into were both taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.
