Firework display sets fire to grass at motorcycle rally in Thailand

This is the shocking moment faulty fireworks caused fire in nearby fields at a motorcycle rally.

The pyrotechnics were being let off while a bike gang marked their 13th anniversary with a meet in Trang, southern Thailand last Sunday (February 23) night.

Hundreds of riders brought their bikes to show off, however, during the opening ceremony the event staff lit the fireworks and the sparks landed on the dry grass near the event causing fires.

The participants were shocked by the fire they ran away from the area chaotically while the staff rushed to the fire trying to extinguish it.

The fire was raging and spread quickly due to the strong wind that the staff could not handle.

Fire crews arrived spent half an hour stopping the fire.
