Less than an hour ago the madison county comission passed a resolution to ask the state if a confederate monument can be moved.

Waay 31's rodneya ross was in that meeting when the commission voted.

Rodneya, can tell us how the community is reacting?

This morning, organizers are getting set for tomorrow's scheduled protest!

The top organizer told us he'll monitor the crowd to make sure people are following city ordinances.

Organizers put together a list of demands they want from the city and the police department.

They include more training on the use of force and releasing standard procedures to the public.

"if there are procedures that say when such and such happens, then this force is justified, then we need to see those."
