In the video, filmed in the city of Zhongxiang in Hubei Province on June 28, firefighters sat on an assault boat to move through the flooded streets and arrived at a submerged building to evacuate five residents trapped on the ground floor.

In another clip, firefighters helped rescue a mother and a daughter who got trapped on the first floor of a residential building after the ground floor was flooded.

More than 300 rescuers, five canoes and three assault boats were sent to rescue and evacuate around 1,000 trapped residents, according to reports.
