UP Congress chief detained while going to Sonbhadra to meet tribal families

Police detained Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu on July 16 while he was going to Sonbhadra along with three other party workers.

He was going to Umbha village in Sonbhadra to meet families of the victims who were killed in firing over a land dispute in 2019.

Ajay Kumar Lallu said, "The amount of force which was deployed to stop me, if it was used to combat crime and catch culprits then I think the state would have been safe.

This government is sending politicians to jail and taking actions against them.

They kept me behind the bars for one month but Congress party is not afraid of anything, we will keep fighting for the rights of Tribal groups."
