James St. shooting

Utica police are investigating a shooting that occurred on James Street.

Took place on the 100 block of james street just about an hour and a half ago.

Its your top story on this tuesday night.

This is video just back to our newsroom... calls came in just before 830 this evening for a victim with a gun shot wound.

We are told the man was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Our crew on scene tells me there are several officers on scene they area is taped off.

There are also what appears to be bullet casings on the ground.

We are in contact with police.

They tell me they are still gathering information and will pass that to us at some point this evening.
