Happening today, one northern California city mayor is calling for a special meeting of the city council.

The meeting starts here at 3 o clock this afternoon.

City council members will meet to consider amendments to the emergency resolution against the coronavirus.

Vice mayor alex brown has requested to talk about including the state wide mask enforcement to the city's resolution... as well as other state guidelines.

This emergency meeting did not please everyone... council member sean morgan posted on facebook asking why this meeting was happening and saying the council agreed to not discuss non essential business until the public could attend meetings again.

Council members were set to meet one week from today with the public allowed to attend inside a chico church - but with butte county being on the watch list that has now changed.
