PG&E Says Shutoffs May Hit 17 Counties As Wildfire Risk Increases Amid Heat Wave
As a brutal heat wave strikes the state, Pacific Gas and Electric upgraded the potential for a Public Safety Power Shutoff from "Elevated" to "PSPS Watch" all across the state on Tuesday and Wednesday, including several areas in northern California, according to the utility's website on Saturday.
The wildfire risk will be high Monday across much of Los Angeles and Ventura counties and the Inland Empire as a heat wave roils the region, bringing with it a red flag warning. Joy Benedict reports.
