Navicent Health receives grant for Baby’s First Book program

To celebrate College Savings Month and to raise awareness about the importance of saving for college and early education, Georgia’s Path2College 529 Plan awarded Navicent Health with $1,529.

System is also hiring for several other positions.

The hospital plans to hold more hiring events in the future.

The state of georgia's path to college 529 plan awarded navicent health a grant for exactly one thousand - 529 dollars.

The goal is to raise awareness on saving for college and early education... for college savings month.

The money will be used for the hospital's baby's first book program ... in the birthing center.

According to a news release... each newborn delivered at navicent health will get a book prior to discharge.

Pediatric and women's service line director missi upshaw says.... the program encourages new parents ... to begin reading to their infants.
