Rome City School District BOE approves fall sports season startLow-risk sports teams will begin practice on September 28.

Sports to begin on this monday september 28.

Boys and girls varsity and junior varisty soccer, field hockey varisty and junior varsity, girls varsity gymnastics, girls varsity tennis and boys and girls varsity cross country will resume.

The first day of competition for these sports is slated for october 13 and the season will conclude on novemer 6.

Modified sports are still canceled due to matters of transportation to competitions and lack of field space and space for supervision.

Now that rome has officially opted in, the schools in the tri-valley league that are currently not participating are oneida, vernon- verona-sherrill and utica proctor.

Football, girls swim and cheerleading have been moved to the fall two season in march.
