2 accidents at same time on Route 49

Two accidents, one in the eastbound lane and one in the westbound lane, happened on Route 49 around the same time Friday morning.

Morning!

An accident in the east and west bound lanes, right across from eachother, so two accidents.

The first happened around 7-45 this morning.

A car was travelling west near the cavanaugh road exit.

The sheriff's office says the car veered off the road, became airborne, came to a stop, and caught fire.

One person was taken to a local hospital.

The second happened in the eastbound lane, directly across from the one we just tolf you about.

Deputies say a car hit a flatbed.

One person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

State police is investigating.

No word on whether anyone was ticketed.

Both lanes have have been reopened.
