Jaswant Singh: Former Union Minister and BJP's founding member dies at 82 | Oneindia News

Former union minister Jaswant Singh died of cardiac arrest this morning in Delhi.

He was 82 years old.

Jaswant Singh had served as India's foreign minister, defense minister and finance minister.

He was an officer in the Indian Army in the 1950s and 60s, but he later resigned to pursue a career in politics.

He died today at 6:55 AM at Delhi's Army Hospital.

He was admitted on 25 Jun 2020 and was being treated for Sepsis with Multiorgan Dysfunction Syndrome and had a Cardiac arrest this morning.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled his death on Sunday, said that the seasoned BJP leader served our nation diligently first as a soldier and later during his long association with politics.
