For today newswatch 12's adam schumes spoke with the medford police department about the next steps in the investigation.

Lt mike budreau with the medford police department tells me that yesterdays incident came as a complete shock to him.

He wonder how could someone access the zoom meeting.

"so with these investigations, uh, it's all about ip addresses and then basically submitting subpoenas and trying to locate an actual address that's affiliated with that ip address.

So trying to find a physical address, and sometimes there's multiple layers in that.

And that's a little bit of a slow process cause we have to go through grand jury and a subpoena process" lt budreau tells me that the police department is finding that this is ongoing problem nationwide.

He says that they do have a description of the individual.

Now it about finding an ip address leads them and hopefully find a physical address.

Now his message to the medford school district.

" in fact, they've been really cooperative throughout this investigation.

And the steps that they took when this happened was actually pretty impressive, where they got the individual removed and they can cut up person in a different chat room so they can continue to try and get that ip address.
