Chhattisgarh Minister calls Balrampur rape 'small incident', later clarifies

Chhattisgarh Minister Shiv Kumar Dahariya on October 03 took a jibe on ex-CM Raman Singh's tweet on rape in state's Balrampur.

Dahariya said, "A big incident took place in Hathras, why is Raman Singh not tweeting?

A small incident took place in Balrampur.

He's doing nothing except criticising Chhattisgarh." After the statement sparked outrage, Shiv Kumar Dahariya tried to clarify by saying, "I had not called the incident of rape, a small incident.

Rape is always a big incident.

I had expressed my opinions on the chain of events that took place after the rape.

My opinion was not on the rape."
