Two terrorists gunned down in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam

Two terrorists were killed in encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kulgam's Chingam area.

The operation was launched following specific inputs about presence of terrorists.

The joint operation was launched by security forces and Jammu and Kashmir police.

Police said that the search operation turned into encounter after terrorists fired upon forces.

One M4 rifle and a pistol have been recovered from encounter site, police added.

Police further said that the identity and group affiliation of slain terrorists were being ascertained.

On October 7, three terrorists were killed in an encounter in Shopian's Sugan Zainapora.

In a similar incident, two terrorists were killed in Awantipora's Sambora on September 27.
