Action news now reporter amy lanski joins is live in studio -- what are they doing to stop the spread amy?
The principal here at p-v says making sure to stay transparent with families and the community.
Principal damon whittaker says he feels the school has a 'solid' process in notifying families..
Principal damon whittaker: "i think what supports alleviating concern is the quality of our safety protocols and our ppe and our sanitation protocols here."
Amy standup: "besides students having to wear masks at all times, they also have to be social distancing so if they do get here early they have these stickers to make sure they are following protocols."
Grace montgomery - sophomore pv "we all have to sit like six feet a part in class, we put on hand sanitizer when we enter and leave a classroom."
Grace montgomery is a sophomore at p- v.
She says the one covid case makes her a little nervous... but thinks the school is handling it well.
"everybody who comes to school knows like the risks of coming to school and they decide to come anyways, so i think everyone is coming to preserve their mental health and its just something to be aware about."
Ethan alexander - senior pv "the school has put everyone around the student that was in the classroom on quarantine so all the people around him have been quarantined so i think that will immediately solve the problem.
Senior ethan alexander says he couldn't be happier to be at school for his last year and isn't too concerned with just one positive case.
"yeah i don't think people should be very scared with one case, maybe if it gets to 10 or 20 maybe, but i don't think with one case."
Alexander added all his classmates are taking covid serious... keeping their masks on... social distancing as much as they can..
And using hand sanitizer.
Whittaker says they'll continue to do in person classes as long as they are meeting the guildelines required by the state and county.
