Kashmiri saffron to be grown in Sikkim, pilot successful | Oneindia News
Only a few areas in Jammu and Kashmir in India grow saffron, the most expensive spice.
Now, the Ministry of Science and Technology, is looking at extending its cultivation to some states in the Northeast, including Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
The pilot has been successful.
