Assam's Baghjan oil well fire controlled after 172 days

After a long battle of 172 days, Baghjan blowout well has been successfully killed, informed Oil India on Twitter.

Fire has been doused off completely.

There's no pressure in well now and the same will be observed for 24 hours, Oil India said.

Further operation to abandon the well is in progress, as per the information by Oil India Ltd.
