Salvation Army opens its doors for Thanksgiving

"* the salvation army opened its doors today for inside for a warm meal.

The salvation army provided bottled water and coffee ... as well as a warm place to eat.
Corps officer lisa mueller tells me half the people who usually come for their thanksgiving meal are homeless.
She says some people just don't want to be lonely during the holidays and come for all those people that are feeling all those things are still here this year and now add covid on top of it ... the restrictions, the inability to travel and meet up with certain family... just makes it that much more important this year.
So we knew we had to do something.
Mueller tells me it's so important that they were able to offer a warm place to eat for those in need ?
