Cyber Attack Causing Students To Fall Behind?
Sophia Borrelli spoke to parents of students in the Huntsville City School District after some parents expressed concerns about their children falling behind this year.
New details - as teachers and staff at huntsville city schools prepare to teach students using miminal technology because of a cyber security attack... some parents are worried their children may fall behind in an already unpredictible year.

She's live for us this evening - after talking with parents whose children go to school in the district.
Sophia what did parents have to say?
One parent i spoke with said she isn't too concerned about her child falling behind in school - but another i spoke with said it is concerning - given that parents don't know when students will be headed back to the classroom.
Kelly parks, parent: "he's a gamer kid, so he's just, he's playing strategy games and you know that keeps his gears turning.
Kelly parks says she's not too worried about her son - mason - falling behind - since huntsville city school students are not in class right now because of what the school is calling a ransomware attack.
She says she trusts the school district is doing everything possible to get kids back in the classroom as quickly as possible.
Other parents like ben crow say he worries about his daughter's education especially with all the disruptions this year with coronavirus and now this cyber attack.
Ben crow, parent: "are we where we should be?
Is her reading level appropriate?
Is her math skills appropriate?
It's a real burden for parents to have to kind of worry about that."
District staff and principals met wednesday to discuss how they will be moving forward with teaching and learning.
Officials say the goal is to get students back in class as soon as possible.
Craig williams, chief communications officer huntsville city schools: "the main thing we are asking for at his point is continued patience, continued flexibility, and continued understanding."
As of today - the plan is for students to return to learning sometimes next week.
