Poly Throuple Won't Reveal Who The Father Is | My Extraordinary Family
POLYAMOROUS parents are judged for keeping the identity of their son’s biological father a secret.
Nicole, 34, is married to Christian, 32, and they’re in a polyamorous relationship with Fabian, 29.
Together they live in Germany with their eleven-month-old son.
They want to raise awareness about their family setup, as they believe their relationship is often sexualized.
Nicole told Truly that there is “a lot of s**t-shaming.” The group have faced prejudice for not revealing the biological father of their child, but they explained how raising a child with more than two parents can have major benefits.
“The good thing about parenting with two dads is that you can share your roles, it’s very enriching to have three different personalities to take care of him,” Fabian said.
Having two fathers means that their son enjoys both of his dads contrasting characteristics.
For example, Fabian enjoys playing games and listening to music with the baby, whereas Christian is a calming influence for nap times.
Some of their family members have even questioned their parenting validity.
“On our first Father's Day together, we got a message from a family member who asked us if we could come just the two of us with the baby.” They plan to have more children together and hope society becomes more accepting of their family.
“There are so many relationships that still have to hide and we try to show that it works.”
